Project Green Teams is an after school educational program
combining learning with critical thinking and decision
making to create changes in communities’ energy awareness
and energy use.
Why Project Green Teams?
Rising energy prices, environmental concerns linked to energy production and use, and school budget constraints make addressing the energy issue in our schools and communities more pressing than ever.
Existing state and national energy programs provide a wealth of technical, educational, material and financial support to schools to create energy-aware students, teachers and facility managers, and to improve the efficiency, comfort, safety and affordability of school facilities. Project Green Teams aims to maximize the benefits of these state and national programs for local area schools and communities.
Project Green Teams Goals:
- Creating energy awareness
- Saving energy and saving money, in schools, homes, and surrounding communities
- Maximizing the benefits of state and national energy efficiency and education programs for local area schools and communities
